April Webster and Nathan Fishbourne gained national attention in 2010 after becoming the youngest parents in the United Kingdom. April was 13 when she became pregnant, and Nathan was 14 when their son Jamie was born. Their situation quickly attracted public debate and media coverage, bringing both sympathy and criticism toward the teenage couple.
The two met while attending St. Cenydd School in Caerphilly, South Wales. Their relationship took an unexpected turn when April discovered she was pregnant just one day before her 14th birthday. The news shocked both families, but despite the surprise, relatives eventually promised to support the young parents during this difficult time.
Jamie was born in November 2010 by cesarean section. Soon after birth, he faced health complications caused by a malformed oesophagus and required surgery. After spending 11 days in the hospital, doctors confirmed that he was healthy enough to go home. April returned to live with her parents and sister while learning to manage the responsibilities of motherhood.
In the early years, Nathan remained involved in Jamie’s life and hoped to help care for him, especially on weekends. However, by 2014 April announced that she and Nathan had separated and were no longer in contact. She decided to focus on raising Jamie with the support of her family rather than continuing her education.
Years later, both parents have moved forward with their lives. April, now 28 and known as April Lianna, is the mother of three children and shares a stable family life. Nathan has also built a new life and became engaged in 2023. Their story highlights the difficulties of teen parenthood but also shows how support and determination can help young parents rebuild their futures.
