Air Canada Plane Involved in Ground Incident at LaGuardia Airport After Landing

A routine flight turned into an emergency when an Air Canada Express plane was involved in a ground incident at LaGuardia Airport. What began as a normal arrival quickly changed, with “a coordinated emergency response” launched as crews worked to assess the situation.

The aircraft, operated by Jazz Aviation, had arrived from Montreal and was taxiing at low speed when it “came into contact with an airport service vehicle.” The vehicle was a fire response truck that had been handling another task nearby. Authorities are now reviewing how both ended up in the same area.

Emergency teams responded immediately, checking passengers and crew. Some individuals were taken to hospitals for further evaluation, while others were treated at the scene. Officials noted that response procedures were activated quickly to support those involved.

Safety investigators have begun examining the incident to determine what went wrong and whether any procedures need improvement. The focus is on understanding contributing factors and preventing similar situations in the future.

The incident caused temporary delays at the airport, but operations continued with adjustments. As the investigation moves forward, aviation authorities remain focused on improving safety and maintaining reliable airport operations.
