Most People Miss the 4th Object… Can You Find It?

Is there anything more satisfying than solving a good puzzle before turning in for the night? Visual puzzles can give your brain a little workout by encouraging concentration, observation, and problem-solving. They can also be a relaxing way to slow down and focus on something fun before bed.

Tonight’s challenge features a cozy bedroom scene with an older couple relaxing beneath a red blanket. The husband, wearing green pajamas and reading a red book, sits beside his smiling wife with curly blonde hair. But there’s a catch: the image claims that four everyday objects are hidden in the scene—a lamp, a comb, a nail, and a pill. You have just 60 seconds to find them all!

Start with the bedside table, then carefully examine the wooden headboard. Pay close attention to the husband’s clothing and book, the woman’s hair and top, the pillows, blanket, and even the empty wall. Some objects are disguised within ordinary shapes, lines, and patterns, so don’t rely on a quick glance. Ready? Start your timer and see how many you can find before time runs out!

Now for the answers: the lamp is on the bedside table, while the comb is cleverly incorporated into the wooden headboard. The nail can be spotted as a dark line near the man’s green collar. But what about the fourth object—the pill? It isn’t there at all! The artist never actually included it in the picture.

That missing pill is the real trick. Because the instructions tell us that all four objects must be present, our brains automatically assume the pill is hiding somewhere and begin turning shadows, folds, and random shapes into possible clues. It’s a simple example of how expectations can influence what we think we see. Did you spend time searching for an object that was never there?
