1. A strange complaint
“Mom… my bed feels too tight.” At first, the mother thought Mia’s words were simply childish imagination. Mia was eight years old and sometimes struggled to explain what she felt. When asked what she meant, Mia replied, “It just feels like something is squeezing it.” The mattress felt normal when checked, and her mother reassured her, saying, “You’re probably growing… Beds can feel smaller when you get taller.” Still, Mia remained uneasy.
2. The problem continues
Soon the complaint became a nightly routine. Mia would wake up and repeat the same words: “My bed is tight again.” When the mother told her husband Eric, he dismissed it, saying, “She just doesn’t want to sleep alone.” But Mia insisted the feeling was real, and it kept happening every night.
3. Trying to fix the issue
After a week, the parents decided to replace the mattress, thinking the springs might be damaged. A new mattress arrived, and Mia slept peacefully the first night. But the following evening she returned with the same concern: “Mom… it’s happening again.” The problem clearly wasn’t the mattress.
4. Installing a camera
Worried and confused, the mother installed a small security camera in Mia’s bedroom. She told herself it was only to check if Mia moved too much during sleep or hit the bed frame. The camera connected to her phone so she could monitor the room anytime.
5. A disturbing alert
For several nights nothing unusual appeared. Mia slept normally, and the bed never moved. But on the tenth night the mother suddenly woke up at 2:00 a.m. Her phone vibrated with a notification: “Motion detected – Mia’s room.” Still half asleep, she opened the camera feed to see what had triggered the alert.
